Gospel singer, Betty Bayo, has called on spouses who are in abusive relationships to immediately walk out.

Bayo shared a heartbreaking message after Nigerian singer Osinachi allegedly died from domestic violence.

Fellow musicians and gospel ministers have reacted with sorrow and anger to the news of Osinachi's death.

Police have arrested the husband of Osinachi Nwachukwu after allegations she had been a victim of domestic abuse.

Betty asked Christians to stop staying in marriages if they are not happy. She said that most men of God suffer since they don't believe in divorce and most of them preach against it.

Betty added that if leaving an abusive marriage makes one be called a 'loser', then she is a happy loser.

"Devoted Christians suffer abusive marriages mostly coz they don't believe in divorce bcos they preach against it. To them....it will get better and won't last forever until they die inside the abusive marriage."

Betty added;

"Dear women, learn to dust yourself and move out from anything called abusive marriage. Marriage isn't a do-or-die affair. Stop suffering and smiling. What people will say shouldn't make you die inside nonsense. Who you marry should be better than the marriage itself."

Betty in the past said her previous marriage to controversial preacher Victor Kanyari was a mistake.

"The mistake I made was to get into a marriage without really knowing my partner. I didn’t take my time to research the background. I didn’t consider things like character, or personality. We differed in a lot of things. Every topic was an argument."
