Kenyan comedian and football commentator Arap Uria has gotten the recognition of his role model Peter Drury.

Arap Uria was invited to the Premier League TV  where he was supposed to meet the British football commentator.

However, Peter could not physically attend the show, and instead sent a video note that was played on the Premier League TV.

In his lovely message to Arap, Peter recognized his talent, saying he is inspired by his skills and looks forward to a time when he(Arap) will teach him how to commentate.

"Arap, it's Peter here, I really wish I could be with you today. It's so frustrating that I am here in Doha to witness the World Cup draw. Listen, I love what you do. I hope you are laughing with me and not at me. I must say I am certainly laughing with you. It's terrifyingly funny, it's superb," Peter Drury said.

Peter, who was in Doha at the time of the show said he hopes to meet Arap.

“Football shouldn't be taken too seriously. With all the passion you show for it, I do love your work and I hope one day we might get to meet each other face to face and you can teach me how to commentate," said Drury.

Arap Uria also attended the panel discussion virtually.
