'I paid Ksh 5k deposit for my Benz,'

• Afraid she would lose the car, Kamene convinced the sales guy to take a deposit of Ksh 5,000 and wait for the remaining cash.

Kiss FM presenter Kamene Goro has narrated how she bought her E 350 Mercedes Benz.

When she was looking for a car, she did not have the money to purchase a high-end luxury car, but she knew that is what she wanted.

Speaking to comedian 2Mbili she said, "I bought it in 2020, It was not in my plan to buy this car, I got myself in some issues that I had to organise myself and get another car."

Kamene narrated, "Interesting story, I paid a deposit of 5K. At the time, I did not have cash - I was driving a Kiss FM car - so when we found the car, I talked to the guy, he is called Johnnie Wheels, I told him I like the car.

Afraid she would lose the car, Kamene convinced the sales guy to take a deposit of Ksh 5,000 and wait for the remaining cash.

"He asked me to pay the deposit, I told him, that at the moment I had 6k in my Mpesa and if I can send him 5k then I remain with the 1k to fuel the car."

For some reason, he agreed to the arrangement after Kamene promised she would return a couple of weeks later to pay the rest of the cash.

"I told him to give me some time, like 2 weeks I will find a way to make it work. That was the first time, I moved millions. After I paid I told him, now we don't have food to eat so he took us to a local to eat, we had soup."

She continued, "I have had it for a year and a half now. This is my third car but the first one I bought for myself. The first car was a Benz an E200 and the second one was a Benz C180."
