Classic 105 presenter Mwalimu King'ang'i has shared memories of his time in primary.

During the 'Maina and King'ang'i in the morning' show, the comedian said he spent extra years in primary school.

King'ang'i says he sat for his KCPE exams two times.

He added that when his KCPE results were out his father got so disappointed and sent him off to his mother, and stay away from his presence.

“I don’t get why he had so much hope in me,” he said.

King'ang'i described what it felt like the morning when KCPE results were out, he says his father would ask him out of his presence due to his pathetic KCPE results. And denied taking his favourite meals.

Mwalimu Kingangi hypothesizes that parents should not have so much faith in their children.

He narrates how his parents had so much faith in him and expected so much that they ended up getting disappointed when he failed to get the expected results.

His parents failed to get him a new Christmas outfit when everyone else was getting one.

“During my time, KCPE results used to come during Christmas, when it is raining, everyone is happy, receiving new Christmas outfits.

I was being sent out, I never got any new Christmas clads. I don’t get why my dad had so much hope in me, I think parents should stop having so much hope and faith in their children,” King'ang'i said.

Mwalimu said that he had to repeat the same class.
