Aspiring Nairobi senator, Karen Nyamu, was on Saturday among guests attending a fundraiser planned to help raise 1.5 million for Akuku Danger.
All proceeds from the event dubbed 1 Mic Cause, 30 artists were going towards clearing Akuku Danger's hospital bills.
Speaking during the event held at Nairobi Cinema, Nyamu said although she doesn't know Akuku Danger personally she was empathetic towards his current situation.
"I noticed his issue earlier on and I have wanted to support him and other people going through issues. I also wanted to tell people in the entertainment industry tuko pamoja."
Adding,
"I don't know him personally but he makes me laugh through his jokes on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. I couldn't ignore it. Most artists are my friends. My baby daddy is also an artist so nawapenda."
Her Message to Akuku Danger,
"We are together in this, we all go through challenges so this is just a phase. We will be happy when you overcome this."
Akuku was seeking help to clear a Khs 1.5 million hospital bill left behind after he got admitted into ICU for weeks after his lungs failed.
The comedian had exhausted funds from his NHIF card thus appealing to Kenyans to assist where they could.
