Chimano was interviewed yesterday by Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi, where his band, Sauti Sol, was launching their new project, Sol Kids.

The musician explained why the group had decided to do a project for kids, saying,

"Because why not? Releasing projects about kids is amazing and fun. It is within our philosophy to speak to the next generation. Looking at this generation, they are very forward-thinking and it's also an exciting time to do kids content considering how far the world has come."

Would he ever change anything if he were able to go back into his past?

"No. That is what has made me who I am. Of course, ideally, I would like to change this or that...Maybe when we go into the metaverse I will create a portal and go and hug little me and tell him that you're going to be good. It's gonna be alright."

Did he want to have kids in the future?

"I'll see. When I am in a situation that may allow me to. But for now, no. For now, I am still growing. Having kids for me isn't a badge of honour, cause having kids is a big responsibility. It's a big deal. It's something that will happen if it will ever happen."
