• "It is only me and him who know the truth. Maybe he thinks I wanted some expensive things...but no one doesn't love expensive things and being treated." - Carrol Sonie
Comedian Mulamwah revealed sparked mixed reactions after accusing his ex Carrol Sonie of being 'money oriented'.
In a past interview, Mulamwah said that Sonnie wanted to have expensive treats, something that he could not provide.
He mentioned this as partly the cause of their break up last year.
Now, Carrol Muthoni aka Sonnie has denied the allegations from her ex, saying that she comes from a humble family and is not interested in a man's financial abilities.
"It is only me and him who know the truth. Maybe he thinks I wanted some expensive things...but no one doesn't love expensive things and being treated. I think no one among us has accepted that they have lost the other," she said.
"I live with my mum and I am from a very humble background. I would love to work hard and earn my own money. I have never depended on any man. Even calling him(Mulamwah) to ask for salon money...i have never."
Sonnie added that they are currently not on talking terms with Mulamwah and that he last saw their baby when she was 2 months old.
"I think he is planning to come. He is welcome."
On whether Mulamwah is providing basic needs for the baby, she responded;
"I don't want to talk about it. The baby is growing, she is good and healthy...doing fine."
