City Preacher Rev Lucy Natasha has reminisced how she kick-started a conversation with her husband on Instagram.
In an interview with Lynn Ngugi, Natasha said Carmel did not start hitting on her directly in the DM.
" The first message was 'I am praying for you'. It wasn't loved messages, it was I cover you...I pray for you...I love the work you are doing," she recalled.
On his part, Carmel shared the first time he saw Natasha online and how it sparked a special feeling in his heart.
"I was invited to preach in a place and the lady of the house showed me a video where my love is preaching about the royal wedding. I saw the video and there was such a spark in me I decided to slide in the DM. I started in a very balanced way. It was like I am talking to myself on Instagram but I did not lose hope," he said.
The couple recently held a lavish traditional wedding and is planning to hold a white wedding in Southern India, where Carmel originates.
"We are legally married...because we are traditionally married. We are global citizens...so we are still planning to have a white wedding in India and a celebration in Canada," Natasha said.
She further explained what she was praying for in a husband.
"I always had that desire to get married. I always said when my time comes, I don't want to marry a prayer point, I want to marry a prayer partner. A prayer point is somebody that makes you cry every day, but a prayer partner is somebody you pray together. Our meeting was heavenly and divinely orchestrated."
