Murugi Munyi has revealed getting the surgical procedure known as liposuction was a gift to herself as she turns 32.

The mother of 3 says she got the surgery as she does not plan on getting other kids.

Sharing her experience with Massawe Japanni, Munyi explained, "After my third child my weight went to 120, I knew I had to do something.

I consistently joined a gym for a whole year and lost weight, I got to 88 kgs."

Munyi says despite losing the weight, she noticed her belly was not budging.

"I got to 88kgs but noticed that there were some parts of the body that can never be the same. It was starting to make me feel discouraged, Being in front of the camera., my belly was something that was always on my mind.

I had to think of how to 'swallow' and hide it. Going through with the liposuction was a birthday gift to me as I turn 32."

Asked how much the surgery cost, Munyi responded, "It was just under Ksh 600, 000. It was quite affordable.

There are hospitals where the surgery can cost Ksh 1 million. Getting lipo in Africa is  still a taboo but in the US and the UK it's very common."

The outspoken YouTuber says doctors got 8.7 litres of fat from different parts of her body namely the back, love handles and stomach.

She is still in recovery and vows to suffocate us with her 'after' photos once she is completely healed..
