Jalang'o's many hustles before fame

•Jalang'o is today a house hold name having  been a radio host for more than a decade.

We have all done odd jobs to survive unless you were born with a silver spoon.

For Lang'ata MP aspirant Jalang'o, wera ni' wera (work is work) was more than just a lorry slogan, with the comedian having done a lot before his eventual fame.

Below are some of the odd jobs he has done to survive.

FishMonger- Jalang'o used to monger fish after high school as his dad could not afford to take him to university.

Waiter

Jalang'o used to work as a waiter at a hotel owned by his uncle Ochieng.

He would do different things among them cooking chapo and mandazi

Mjeng'o

The Langata aspirant used to work at different construction sites alongside Octopizzo.

Jalang'o says at the time they were just young men, he didn't know Octo would be the man he is today.

They mostly did demolition jobs.

Dancer

In case you thought Jalang'o can't dance then you would be wrong.

The bubbly personality used to be a dancer at a club in Kakamega. The club was owned by Senator Cleophas Malala.

Slashing bushes

Jalang'o also used to slash bushes at Kamburu power station. He had been connected to the job by his uncle, George.
