Just a few hours ago, socialite Huddah Monroe revealed that she would be the guest speaker for Kenya Education Fund this coming weekend.

"EXCITED for this … @kenyaeducationfund 📚 and to meet the youngins 😍😍😍" she wrote.

Most of her fans met the news with glee and were impressed that she had landed such a gig. But there were those who weren't as happy and said as much in the comments section.

They were shocked that a prominent socialite had been given such a distinguished role. One person called guylikericky opined, Hayaa adi socialite ako na motivation but why,how😂😂😂3 h4 likesReply

Another kenyan called tabby_tee agreed with his sentiment, saying, "Theme nafikiri ni how to get money in Dubai n Nigeria."

But Huddah was having none of it and responded by saying, 

"Misery loves company. The kids don’t want people like you to come talk to them. They’d rather Huddah who has life experience and businesses that are selling out. What have you done with your life so far? Apart from being an online hater?"

But that wasn't all, another critic called os_money_jr felt like our country was doomed because a socialite was being given such a speaking gig.

"This is where you know we're doomed as a country when a socialite like Hoe_da becomes a motivational speaker to our young and bright future generation 🤦‍♂️ tumekosea nani jameni."

Huddah isn't a shrinking violet and took on Os reiterating her earlier view that she deserved to be a guest speaker as she had a track record of success.

She added that she was sure that the people she will inspire will have a better future than her critics.
