Why Valentine's Day is cursed for Diamond Platnumz

Valentine's day is just a few days away, we take a look at why it is a bitter-sweet day for Tanzanian star Diamond Platnumz.

In 2018 Diamond Platnumz Baby Mama Zari Hassan took to her socials to dump the artiste for constantly cheating on her.

The mother of five said she was tired of being disrespected.

Through her socials, she wrote,

“Understand that this is very difficult for me to do.

There have been multiple rumors some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond, as my RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIGNITY & WELL BEING cannot be compromised.

We are separating as partners but not as parents. This doesn’t reduce me as a self-made individual, and as a caring mother, and the boss lady you have all come to know.

I will continue to build as a mogul, I will inspire the world of women to become boss ladies too. I will teach my four sons to always respect women, and teach my daughter what self-respect means.

Unlike many, I’ve been in the entertainment industry for 12 years, and through all my challenges I came out a victor because I am a winner, and so are all of you Zari supporters. HAPPY VALENTINE’S.”

Fast forward to 2019 Diamond promised to wed his now ex-girlfriend and baby mama Tanasha Donna on Valentine's Day.

Diamond however postponed the wedding before the two finally broke up.

But the announcement was greeted with skepticism among fans.

Most thought of the wedding as a public relations gimmick to buzz up Diamond’s Wasafi Festival held in Nairobi on New Year eve. (2019).

And as soon as curtains fell on the concert, the musician summoned journalists to announce that he was postponing the wedding to an undisclosed date.

“My wedding was supposed to be on Valentine’s Day 14th February, but I have postponed it,” Diamond revealed during the after party of his Wasafi Festival.

Pressed for an explanation, Diamond claimed many artistes including American rapper Rick Ross are set to attend but won’t be available on February 14.

“Most people are supposed to attend, because my marriage will come with Rick Ross, Omarion. I want it to be a royal wedding as you see what the British Prince’s was,” Diamond explained.

This year will be a little different as he will be spending it alone.

There are rumours that he is dating Wasafi signee Zuchu but the two keep denying it.

Responding to the allegegations Zuchu said she is working on a project which is supposed to be unveiled on Valentines day, 2022.
