Tanzanian singer, Rose Muhando, has explained what she meant by saying she wants a rich Mzungu to be her husband.
In an interview with Tanzanian media, Muhando clarified that she is not looking for the Mzungu husband. She said that looking for him would mean she is into prostitution.
"Ndoa ni kitu ambayo unajaliwa, siwezi enda kuitafuta, huo ni umalaya. Siwezi enda kutafuta mwanaume, ila nitamwambia mungu," Rose Muhando said.
The singer went ahead to explain why she wants to marry a rich Mzungu. She said having a white husband is her personal choice and a rich one would give her money to preach the gospel.
"Choice yangu, nimechagua choice yangu. Mbona mzungu anaoa Maasai? Sijaomba mzungu ngozi, nimeambia mungu nipe mzungu mwenye pesa. Si anioe, anipe hizo pesa nikahubiri injili.
Si azeeke kisha anampa Mbwa hela, alete hapa. Kwani nimevunja sheria ya nchi? Kati ya Amri kumi za mungu nimekosea ipi? Basi hiyo imeisha," she added.
Last week, the singer went viral after saying her main prayer item is to get a Mzungu husband this year.
"Ombi langu mwaka huu nataka nipate mume mzungu na mwenye hela (My main prayer item this year is to get a white husband who is financially stable.)"
