Former Switch TV News anchor Robert Ouma has turned to Matatu Touting after being laid off last year.
The station laid off a number of reporters and news anchors after closing their on-air broadcasts to focus on digital content.
Some news anchors have found a new home in other TV stations, but Robert Ouma has resorted to doing a job outside the newsroom.
The bilingual news anchor and producer is now a Matatu tout plying the Nairobi -Rongai route.
He has been sharing videos and pictures of himself in Matatus, which he calls his new office.
"Just from work, trying to do what I can because that is what it is. An office is just a name, but money is so sweet. That is what inspires me," Ouma said.
The journalist turns up for his Matatu job in neat clothes and even puts on a necktie.
This is unlike many Nairobi touts who do not dress neatly while going to work.
