KBC Swahili news anchor Beatrice Gatonye has officially launched her music career.
Gatonye is the newest Gospel music in town as she kick-started the journey with a release of her first track dubbed 'Wastahili'.
The music launch held in Eldoret over the weekend was attended by fellow musicians, journalists and was graced by legendary gospel singer Reuben Kigame.
"I knew I could and wanted to sing when I was very young. I never let my passion die. And now I am proud to say I hit the studio and recorded three songs. I actually recorded all the songs in one month. My hubby has been my greatest support after learning I can really sing. I plead with Kenyans to support me spread the gospel,” Gatonye said during the launch.
After its successful launch, Gatonye took to her social media to thank all those who were part of her success.
She wrote,
"Abednego Atoti You understood my vision and captured it well in the lyrics. God bless you. Thank you RITMO ENTERTAINMENT for producing my debut song Wastahili so well, I will choose you again and again. Steve Mugo I can’t thank you enough for directing the video.
Lesley Eru the makeup was on point, Asante. My BGVs God bless you for standing with me. You have beautiful voices. My very own sisters I couldn’t ask for more. You prayed and stood with me all the way. God bless you all for making this project a success, I pray that many will healing, strength and salvation as they listen to the song."
The journalists host the KBC Darubini segment alongside Ahmed Juma Bhalo.
