'Salute Sauti Sol!' Konshens praises boy band

Konshens is really doing all the right things as far as trying to butter up his Kenyan fans before his December 31st concert.

The Jamaican dancehall musician has praised his Kenyan band, Sauti Sol after their successful concert on Sunday, arguably the biggest in Kenya this year.

The 'Gal a bubble' singer complimented the band on his Twitter page writing,

'Just really great homegrown Kenyan artistes giving a really great show to a really great sold out audience. Salute @sautisol.'

His fans were quick to respond to the message and told the singer that they were also eagerly awaiting his performance on New Year's Eve.

Some said his praise was PR, especially after the way Eric Omondi has been rallying local musicians to fight for equal treatment with talents from abroad.

Whatever the case, his actions are a smart move in ensuring that he makes sure Kenyans know he appreciates them.

Konshens isn't the only person to praise the band, Nameless also had a lot to say about the band. Writing on his Instagram page, the father of two wrote,

'Thank you @sautisol for proving that Kenyan Music is very much alive!! Let no one cheat you that the industry is dead, it passes different stages with ups and downs and different waves, this is part of industry evolution.. we are evolving as an industry and we are all in the pioneer stage of this Urban Pop industry! That means there will be alot of challenges, mistakes and learning ,from the different generation that leads to growth and structure formations. If we are more strategic as an industry we will grow faster and sustain better👊🏾.. for now I am just happy for these guys because their work ethic has given them results over the years!!'
