Singer Wahu says curtain-raising for guest international artists is not a problem to her as long as an artist is paid well and connects well with her fans.

Recently, this has been a debate as the self-proclaimed president of comedy in Africa Eric Omondi was particularly against it.

Wahu shared on her Facebook page that she will be performing at Harmonize's concert in Naivasha over the weekend and her post elicited a mixed reaction from her fans.

One fan identified as Western Icon questioned the Liar hitmaker about how she and her husband will be curtain-raising for Harmonize.

"But Kenyan artists be serious. How can you and Nameless be the curtain-raiser wa Harmonize surely?

In a quick rejoinder, Wahu said she has never had an issue with that. She added that she could even perform before an upcoming artist.

"Performance order haijawai kua issue kwangu imagine. Be it a purely local lineup or mixed lineup. For what it's worth, I have no problem performing even before an upcoming artist mwenye hajulikani, because, to me, the lineup is simply that...lineup... bora I connect with my people, have fun while doing it and kill it on stage, whether I perform first , middle or last it doesn't matter. Hope to see you this weekend!"

Another fan, Sarf Edward sought to know why the Mathenges are always performing together.

"You guys never leave each other even sometimes, ma events mnaendanga pamoja kila wakati, like when will you guys start performing solo solo?"

Wahu responded saying they are working on an album.

"We're actually solo artists and have performed as solo artists for 20+ years. You know that right? We've come together as the M'z, short for Mathenges to create a joint album, hence the reason you see us together now more than ever.

The M'z joint project isn't a permanent merger of brands, but definitely an exciting one for us! Can't wait to share with everyone what else as have in store!"
