Musician Akothee had a great lesson to share with her fellow single mums.

The self-proclaimed president of single mothers has been keen on telling women not to waste their time following men who do not want to support their children.

In a long post on her social media, Akothee recalled her life after breaking up with her first baby daddy Aggrey Okello.

"Carried my children with me to the coast . First I arrived and lived with my brother Chief otieno in Bombolulu while my kids were still with their Father,I was not allowed to see them. I will one day ask him why he denied me the chance to see our kids," she recalled.

The singer says she took time to establish herself before sneaking back to steal her daughters from their father.

"I figured out what Mombasa had to offer me, with this sun and humidity, I don't want to go into the journey of KARIBU MOMBASANI. After 6 months of hustling, don't ask me what I was doing,I was doing what your mind is telling you now. I went and stole my kids from the village where they were now left to stay with mother in law as my partner had moved on into his new life. I slowly stole my kids and left for Mombasa, with no idea of how when what will be!"

The singer further detailed how she began a humble life with her children at the coast.

"I had rented a one-bedroom in lower Nyali next to Kisumu Ndogo. I am a Luo , so my life had to start big we all slept in my 6 by 6 bed," she added.

With her daughters having grown into adults, Akothee says she took over the responsibility without bothering her baby daddy.

"This coming week one of my daughters is graduating, Without drama nor the crazy baby daddy runaround, no school balance nor nothing I held my children by my heart without cursing their father! I rarely spoke about him as it made me go into stupid emotional trauma," Akothee shared.
