Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested after he tried to make his way into Parliament Buildings.

The comedian who has been trending for several days now was in the company of a few friends from the entertainment industry.

His brother Felix Omondi confirmed saying he is currently at the Central Police Station.

In the video shared online, Eric is seen resisting as the men in uniform force him into a police car.

Eric had pledged to lead music artistes in storming parliament buildings in a bid to fix the music industry in Kenya.

The comedian said artists would be agitating for better pay at events and demanded that they get the same amount for curtain-raising as foreign acts are paid. 

He also said he wanted the Kenyan media to be compelled to play 75 percent Kenyan content.

"All local media to play 75 percent of local music just like it is in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe and the list goes on and on."
