Why Terence can't credit Edgar for the 'Wash Wash' idea

Comedian Terence Creative trended for weeks after his witty series Wash Wash (Kemikal).

The 'Wash Wash' idea was executed after Edgar Obare alias Tea Master shared his damning expose' touching on various public figures in the country.

His Instagram page was deactivated days after the expose'.

Well, days later Terence released his first episode of the 'Papa Freddie Kemikal' skit and he flew with the idea.

Well, in a recent interview, Terence was asked to credit Edgar Obare for giving him the idea.

Terence said he does not owe the controversial blogger any credit. Instead, Edgar should credit him as he trended with his name for months.

" He has never credited me."

In 2019, one of the biggest cheating scandals was that between comedian Terence Kamami and 19-year-old Anita Soina.

Their affair was brought to light by Edgar Obare on his YouTube channel BNN and became the talk of town.

"That I should credit Edgar, I went on and executed the 'Wash Wash' idea. Few years back, I am among the people who kick-started his (Edgar) career. Many people knew him through my story. I was on his platform for six months."

Terence added that Edgar owes Kenyans as they are the ones who shared the story with him.

"I was on the ground. I looked for a cast and did the job. He is doing a good job, I am still surprised how to credit him.

The wash wash thing was first shared on Citizen TV and K24, it s a parallel thinking. It came from Kenyans coz they shared their stories with me. It is a Kenyan effort and not an individual effort. He was just sent screenshots. I am happy for what he is doing," he said.

Terence splashed over Sh100,000 on his 'Wash Wash' skit.
