Tanzanian singer Mr. Nice in mourning

Musician Lucas Mkenda aka Mr. Nice is mourning the loss of his mother. The artiste announced the news via his Instagram page where he wrote;

"Waaaahhhhhh R .I.P MAMA MKUBWA..."

He further went on to add, "GOODBYE MUM ....R.I.P."


In an interview with local publication SDE, the Tanzanian singer said that he still hadn't come to terms with the death.

He added that he and his late mom were very close and that it would take time for him to believe that it had indeed happened.

May his mother rest in peace. 



Mr. Nice was/is a Takeu style crooner with the TAKEU acronym coming from the initials of Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda respectively. His music incorporates elements from all three countries.

The singer first came to the limelight in 1999 with his 'Kidali Po' album. At the height of his fame, the singer used to earn close to 4000 dollars per show.
