People will be happy when I'm dead - Tiwa Savage

•An alleged tape went viral

Fans of Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage are worried after the singer sent on her Instagram stories talking about her late dad and Davido's dead associate, called 44.

44 is also known as Obama DMW 44 was an associate of singer Davido and died early this year. Her father also died the same month, July 2021.

In the recent post, she wrote;

 “I was sad at the passing of my dad and 44 but at least they are no longer in this cruel place."

She went on to write;

"Some people will be happy when I am no more.”

Her post comes just days after she revealed that someone was trying to blackmail her before a sex tape that was believed to be hers went viral.

In a past interview with Power 105, revealed that before the video leaked, she was asked for a certain amount of money, which she opted not to give.

"Yesterday I was leaving a radio station in my car and my road manager sent me a message and was like 'Yo check your phone' and I'm like okay, then I checked it and I'm like where did you get it from and he like I just got it like 20 minutes ago. It's a tape of me and the person I'm dating right now," she said.

"I got off the phone and sent it to my manager and she was like 'Oh my God' and I was like what are we gonna do? So the person is asking for money now."

The Nigerian singer cleared the air saying that her lover is not the blackmailer.

"No. He is going crazy too. I'm like what are we gonna do and my manager is like 'How much are they asking for?' So I woke and I was like no - I pay now, two months time you gonna come back again and two years and who knows if I do send you the money you are gonna release it anyway," she added

"Like the fact that I'm not going to allow anyone to blackmail me for doing something that is natural."

After the tape went viral, she wrote a message to her blackmailers telling them she had controlled the narrative;

“You hated how I was able to control the narrative and get ahead of a story before it consumed me and how I was able to joke on stage about something you thought will destroy me and make me ashamed.”
