Valerie Makoha, mother to the late Charles Bukeko alias papa Shirandula was yesterday laid to rest at her home in Nanderema village. Details about her death are still scanty.

Awinja praised the late for her hospitality whenever they visited her home. She also revealed that she and the Papa Shirandula crew had a chance to catch up with the late Charles Bukeko at his gravesite.

"Today we celebrated and laid to rest Papa Shirandula’s Mum, She was one of the funniest storytellers I’ve met. Alituchapia story ya Bukeko (Papa) akiwa mtoi tulikua tunaisha niaje 😁. She was very welcoming, Alikua anatuandalia unakula unachoka 😃but si ni life, Rest well Mum Valeria Makokha Wafula. We also got to visit our mentor’s grave and catch up abit.'"

Taking to her socials', Jacquey Nyaminde, Wilbroda also penned;

"What a day it’s been. Went back to Nanderema village to lay to rest Papa Shirandula’s mum. And fondly remembering our dear Papa. Rest In Peace mama. Say hi to my husband!"

Among those in attendance were Njoroge, Mama Nyaguthii, and Wilbroda. Papa Shirandula died in July 2020 due to covid-19 complications. His death was and still is a very big blow to the entertainment industry.
