Former Starehe MP Bishop Margaret Wanjiru was in hospital after being diagnosed with Covid-19 in 2020.
Speaking to Radio Jambo's Massawe Japanni, the aspiring Nairobi Governor revealed that prior to her Covid-19 diagnosis, she did not exhibit any symptoms associated with the disease.
In fact, Bishop Wanjiru said, she visited the hospital after she suspected she had food poisoning.
The founder of Jesus Is Alive Ministries was taken to the hospital and the doctors advised she should be tested for the coronavirus.
"I was later tested for COVID-19 and the results turned out positive. I was admitted for few days in the ICU since I had breathing problems. I stayed there for three days and the doctors later said I did not have corona. So I told once I regain my strength, I will be discharged."
She said the main reason she announced she had Covid-19 was so people could pray for her.
"I wanted people not to feel the stigma that came with having the disease and I also wanted Kenyans to pray for me.
My grandchildren and my seven house managers were also admitted since they had corona.
During that time, I asked God if it was my time to die, He should take me. But I also promised to serve Him given another chance."
