Ex Mother-in-law actor Swapo has opened up on his life as an actor and how his family deals with it.
In an interview on Buzz Central, Alfred Munyua alias Swapo said that he does not charge for all his projects, but when he does, one has to part with good money.
"If it is a budgeted job, you've got to pay me well to compensate for the other CSR jobs."
Even though he is open to opportunities, Swapo is somehow choosy when it comes to associating himself with certain products.
The actor recalled how a condoms advert dubbed 'Nakufeel Mpenzi wangu' got him in trouble with his family members.
His mother, Grandmother and Grandfather were concerned about why he would associate himself with condoms.
"My mum was like 'do you know i am the chairlady of our church? What is this? Watu wanasema unaonekana ukiongea kuhusu condom.
My grandfather... he passed on told me to go to Buruburu. He was like, 'hiyo ni nini naona, kuambia watu kutumia mipira'
"It made me abit sensitive, considering i have a family, so anything that is somehow weird i try to stay away," Swapo said.
Since then, he became cautious with the type of brands he associates himself with.
For this reason, he has turned down some offers to advertise alcohol and cigarettes.
