Actor Ken Gichoya, Njoro in Papa Shirandula, has fondly recalled when the late Charles Bukeko saved his career.
In a YouTube interview with Kamuhunjia, Njoro lauded Bukeko as a loving friend.
Njoro recounted a time he was at odds with his bosses wanted to fire him.
"If he saw you were stressed, he would offer to help. For example, there was a time I had issues with my bosses, and it seemed like I was about to get fired.
But Bukeko said the show would not continue without me.
I will never forget his love for me," he said.
Njoro also narrated an incident when Shirandula travelled from upcountry with his wife, kids and mother when they were involved in a road accident at the Bomas of Kenya.
"He was the first person I called and he arrived in minutes. The first thing he did was take my family home."
Njoro also spoke about his wife in the programme 'Wafirethi'.
"I have my wife. Wafirethi and I is a character that was executed by good actors. Wafirethi is my good friend and my wife knows her. When I have an event here she comes and manages."
