Dennis Musyoka alias William Hausa has revealed that the actio of a friend giving out his number landed him the lead role on the TV show 'Maria.'

Hausa says that were it not for the friend, he might never have acted on the show.

Speaking during an interview with Hiram Maina, the father of three shared, "I was emceeing at my sister's wedding when I got a call from a new number. I tried ignoring but the caller was persistent so I received the call.

He told me to go to their office on Monday, I asked who he was but he did not give many details but only insisted that I shouldn't fail to go to the meeting.

I went and found out my friend had given my contacts to the people who wanted me to audition for the role of  William Hausa.

I looked at the storyline and figured out it was a good one. I knew the story would be big but nothing prepared me for what it became."

Hausa says the show's success was brought by three factors among them the timing of the show.

He also says he has a good relationship with Maria whom he had adopted as a daughter on the show.

"Maria started at a good time, on a station that most people watch and when Covid-19 had just started. What you saw in the show is a reflection of our relationship in real life.

Maria is a wonderful girl and she even calls me dad. The chemistry between us was very good. Vanessa is also very close to me. There is a special relationship between fathers and daughters."
