A Kenyan family is holding on hope that their daughter who went missing 7 years ago is still alive.
Jennifer Kabura Mbugua’s vehicle was found at a gas station in North Attleboro in 2014. Her keys and a shoe were found nearby but Mbugua was missing.
At the time of her disappearance, she was aged 31.
Seven years later, the 38-year-old woman still hasn’t been found.
Kabura is one of seven people from Massachusetts listed as missing on the Black and Missing Foundation’s website.
The Black and Missing Foundation found that about 40% of missing persons cases are people of color.
But that number might be even higher as the Hispanic community is categorized as white in the FBI statistics, said Derrica Wilson, co-founder of the Black and Missing Foundation.
