Daddy Owen was a busy man today, meeting with Sauti Sol band members Bien, Polycarp and Savara.

The gospel artiste would go on to post photos of the occasion but one particular post of his caught my mind.

In the post, Mr. Owen revealed that Savara Mudigi was once his dancer for many years! Yep, you read that right! His caption is below:

"Many don't know that @savarafrica of Sauti Sol @sautisol was my dancer for many years.. and i vividly remember wen he came to me with a guitar telling me now he wants to transition from a dancer to a singer.. and the rest is history! We had a great conversation.. down memory lane.Pia yeye aliniuliza "WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE 16TH OF OCTOBER ?"

What is fascinating is that Savara followed the formula that many Hollywood stars have in the past. Some of those Hollywood stars are below:

Tupac Shakur started his career as a backup dancer for hip hop group Digital Underground.

Madonna was a backup singer and dancer for Patrick Hernandez in 1979.

Mariah Carey was a dancer for Brenda Starr in the late 1980s. 

Jennifer Lopez performed as a backup dancer for New Kids on the Block in 1991 and also Fly Girl on the popular sketch comedy series "In Living Color."
