Mwalimu King'angi has shared how his parents had to take care of 14 kids.

The discussion came about as the world celebrated 'World Contraception Day.'

Mwalimu says unlike back then there is no need to get many kids one cannot be able to take care of.

Speaking during the breakfast show on Classic 105, he shared, "We were 14 kids. We used to till land, tulikua wakulima. The reason why women back in the day had many kids is that the chances of children getting to 18 were very little.

Nowadays the chances have increased because there are ways to deal with ailments that made such kids die young."

Mwalimu added that to avoid such, some women went out of their marriage and sired kids with different men.

"Mama alikua anatafuta kengine ka huko nje incase one survives. Nowadays everyone survives and gets to 18."

*Mark called in asking Maina Kageni to lend him 100K to help take care of his kids.

"I have 6 kids and I tell you taking care of them is not easy. I had two with my ex-wife and four with my current wife. Maina, I asked you to meet me up but you have not."

To which Maina responded, "Hata naogopa kukumeet what if you borrow me money to take care of your six kids?"

Mark replied, "Si at least unitumie 100K to take care of the kids."

To which Maina retorted, "Enda ukang'ang'ane na watoto wako, where do people even get the energy to get so many kids?"
