Sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala has revealed he does not eat street food at just any place.
Omanyala says he has to eat food from trusted joints to avoid getting unwanted substances in his body.
Speaking during an interview with Dr. King'ori, he says.
"I can't eat just anywhere.
Moving forward I will be going through doping tests locally and internationally. I would rather get food from home and carry it to the training area.
Even if you ask me to go and buy me mutura I wouldn't go, nipee hio pesa.
If I am somewhere new I would rather take sealed water and eat food from a buffet rather than food prepared for a single person."
"Not everyone is happy but someone can spike your drink, how can you explain how the drug got into your system.
I had trouble because of painkillers, the doctor messed me up and I had to explain why I allowed the doctor to give me such medication.
I also have to read the labels of foodstuffs before I eat, even though sometimes some ingredients are hidden.
People assume running is easy but it's not," said the father of one.
