“I don’t live with expectations."
This is how Kenyan-born singer Emmy Kosgei deals with the question on having children.
For the Taunet nelel singer, God is directing everything in her marriage to Nigerian Apostle Anselm Madubuko.
In an interview with the standard, Emmy said she does not fall for the pressure to get children.
"I don’t set bars, that by this year, by this year… I’ve learnt that our lives – it’s like we are acting a movie. God is directing everything.
So the worst thing is life is to be under pressure. To me, when the right time comes, we embrace it,” Emy Kosgei said.
Even without children of her own, Emmy is already a grandmother.
One of Anselm Madumbuko's daughters has children, who refer to Emmy as their grandmother.
The singer revealed that she has a good relationship with her two step-children, whose mum died shortly before Emmy married Madubuko.
Recently, a social media fan asked Emmy why she does not have children of her own 8 years after getting married to Madubuko.
"We have kids and grandchildren already," Emmy replied.
