This week President Uhuru Kenyatta will become a grandfather again. His only daughter Ngina Kenyatta was at a city hospital giving birth yesterday evening.

Her baby will become president Uhuru's third grandchild after his eldest son Jomo (after the founding president of Kenya), had already blessed him with two children.

In November 2017, Jomo and his wife Fiona Achola Ngobi were blessed with a daughter, Baby Wanjiru, who was named after his mother, Margaret Kenyatta which follows Kikuyu naming practices. 

Wanjiru was born at the Aga Khan hospital.

To date, no image of the girl has been seen by the public despite being spotted at the Lewa marathon with her father and mother a few years ago.

On May 27, 2020, Jomo and Achola would become parents for a second time when they were blessed with a son. In this instance, Jomo would name him after his father, Uhuru, as per Kikuyu naming traditions.

Uhuru was born at the private wing of the Nairobi Hospital.

Of President Uhuru's 3 children, last-born son, Muhoho Kenyatta is yet to get a child.
