Swalim Swaleh says it was a hard task for his stepdad to accept him and his step-sister.

This was after he married Swaleh's mum after his biological dad passed away.

Speaking during the interview with Churchill he said;

"My mum came back and got remarried.

The man did not want to accept my sister and me, he just wanted my mum.

It took a lot of convincing for him to accept us."

On how his mum met his step-dad, Swaleh shared;

"They met during the burial of my dad.

The stepdad was also from Bondeni, and he got interested in knowing my mum as she was from Gilgil.

My dad was Somali and my mum was Kikuyu."

Swaleh mum had gone to look for greener pastures hence he and his siter were brought up by neighbours.
