NTV host Salim Swaleh says he opted to come back and get a wife in Kenya despite living in Iran for 6 years.

He got a job alongside a friend he fondly calls Njoroge.

Speaking during an interview with Churchill Swaleh said Iranian women are not submissive.

On why he did not get a wife in Persia he says;

"The dowry of Persian girls is very expensive.

They stand on a weighing scale and tell you that 1/4 of their weight in gold and that is what you should give them.

That has also made men wakaliwe because the law says if you leave her you have to give her back her dowry.

Iranian men are also very jealous when they see a foreign man with their women. They can easily stab you.

To them, I am very black. So I went back to Gilgil and married my childhood sweetheart Shariffa."
