The comedy scene in Kenya is changing fast as comedians no longer need a podium for them to showcase their work.

With the corona wave, artists were forced to find new ways to put bread on the table and, their inner creatives had to be awakened.

The Churchill show comedian is one of the many versatile female comedians in Kenya.

In an era where social media is changing things, the comedian boasts of 1.5 million followers on Instagram and over 175K subscribers on Youtube.

Her well-thought skits would leave you rolling on the floor laughing.

2. Flaqo

The comedian rose to fame via social media.

The comedian rose to fame via social media. He goes by many names; Mama Otis, Baba Otis, and Otis.

Once he dons his attires and he gets into character you wouldn't recognize him easily.

He has garnered endorsements and goes to show how comedy is a field that pays well.

3. Crazy Kennar

He has been branded the King of online content and runs the Tales of the Crazy Kennar.

The comedian pursues Actuarial Science and was named among the top seven influential students in Kenya in 2020.

He surrounds himself with fellow content creators.

"It's just a process of hanging out and getting ideas from people who think like you so you get to share ideas," he says.

4. Cartoon Comedian

Vannesa Akinyi is popularly known as Cartoon and she is famous for the 'unani affect' 'unani suffocate' unani choke'  phrase. She started out with Crazy Kennar but she broke off eventually and decided to venture alone

She is one comedian you need to watch out for.
