Joseph Saitoti Prengei, brother to the late nominated senator Victor Prengei says he is sad his brother died such a painful death.'

He says he wishes he could know what was running through the mind of his brother as he took his last breath.

The tribute was read during a requiem mass of the late Nominated Senator Victor Prengei held at Good shepherd church on Thursday 26/08/2021.

Prengei died last week after being involved in a road accident at Gioto area in Nakuru County.

In a touching tribute penned on Prengei's obituary, Saitoti penned

"I wish you sweet sleep, my dear brother, although there's so much that you have left behind.

I hate that you had to endure such pain.

I want to know the thoughts that crossed your mind that day, the unspoken words, the undone things we will never do.

I know peace has fallen upon your head, but we, your family have been fed a taste of sorrow which is like a hole in our lives, one swiftly dug but carved out by knives.

I know that sleeping will rise the bible says that God will open their eyes No suffering, no sickness, yes not even pain, so sleep my brother, sleep tight.

For now, with you the sky is night, but after night daybreak will come. Therefore I will wait hoping to see you awake."
