The Mugiithi fraternity yesterday marked two years since one of their favourite singer John De Mathew passed on.
Mugiithi singers together with De Mathew's family held an event to celebrate his music and the impact he left behind.
Well, the event was attended by his two wives, Sarafina and Carol.
In a video shared on the singer's YouTube page, his second wife introduced herself as De Mathew's wife saying she does not sing to be seen or for fame but to celebrate her husband.
This was her message before she performed.
''I am singing for my husband and not for fame or for money. If it was about fame, I am already famous but I am doing this to celebrate my husband.''
This did not go well with some of her fans told Carol to reduce her pride.
De Mathew succumbed to injuries after he was involved in a grisly road accident in 2019 leaving behind two wives and children.
