Gospel singer Dar Mjomba has opened up on his life after prison.

The gospel singer has been in Thika prisons for three months after he was unable to pay Ksh 50,000 debts.

Speaking in a recent interview with Eve Mungai, Dar said life has not been easy.

''It has not been an easy journey. I found things that I did not expect. God used this opportunity to know my friends. Three months, I have been in jail."

An emotional Dar said he was given money by an artiste so they could work on a song.

''I was given money to pay the music producer and director but later he got a problem and he required the money urgently but I had already used the money,'' he said.

He added that although he was willing to pay him the money later, he was arrested and spent three months in prison.

''My mum has worked so hard but she has so many debts and she might be arrested. My mum owes someone Ksh 100,000 which was used to pay for the bail.''

Fellow gospel artistes came through for Dar Mjomba and contributed a total of sh 51,00o.
