Before he met Anerlisa Muigai, singer Ben Pol was dating Tanzanian comedienne Ebitoke. The relationship ended on a bitter note.

In an interview, the comedienne said she was too much in love with the singer compared to how the singer was in love with her.

"I felt him but Ben Pol didn't truly love me,' she said.

Adding that she lied when she told her fans that he was the one who broke her virginity.

"I said Ben Pol was the one who broke my virginity, but my virginity was already broken. I said that cause I wanted the guy."

"I'm sorry. I did it for love, you know how love is, you can get yourself lying so that you get the person you love. My fans please forgive me, Ben Pol didn’t break my virginity"

She added that the relationship wasn't a stunt to lift each other's careers.

Ebitoke was working as a househelp before venturing into comedy and later becoming a household name in Tanzania. She has over three million followers on Instagram alone.
