Gone are the days when people would become famous due to their achievements or a mere feature on Television, Radio and Newspaper.

Nowadays, fame is measured by the number of followers one has on their social media platforms and mentions on daily trends.

In Kenya, many are working hard to get a spot in the hall of fame.

To earn such fame and relevance, people are getting into all sorts of drama, even if it leaves mud on their faces.

Here are some ways you can also become famous the Kenyan way;

Date a celebrity/socialite

I mean, only a few people knew about Lawyer Nick Ndenda before his recent stunts with Betty Kyallo.

Even his namesake, Nick Ndenda who is Media personality is now accidentally gaining from the sudden fame of the lawyer.

The same case applies to Jimal Rohosafi, who was a low key millionaire only known for his Matatu Businesses.

When he started dating socialite Amber Ray Jimal became a sudden online sensation on Instagram and Twitter.

Clout chasing

Many Kenyan celebs in the showbiz industry have mastered the art of clout chasing in order to become more relevant and for their names to top trends.

They get involved in fake online stunts and fake beefs.

An example is Willy Paul's recent stunt, where he pretended to be having a beef with Size 8, only to release a music video with her days later.

This art has also been mastered by one Ringtone Apoko.

Well, this time maybe its true that Ringtome is 'seriously ill after being clobbered by Robert Alai.'

Youtube crackdowns

Another strategy celebrities are using to get attention on their work is by striking each other's content on Youtube.

Songs such as Mejja's Kanairo and Ndovu Kuu have suffered this fate.

Recently, King Kaka also teased fans that his song with Otile Brown; Fight had been pulled down from Youtube.

Only to find it still up. Did Kaka put this up as a clickbait?

But these behaviours stink to the core.
