Wahu has revealed how the fear of losing her brother, David, prompted her to write her first song at age 16.

David had at the time been diagnosed with Tuberculosis and doctors had said he had a 50/50 surviving chance.

Afraid that her brother might die without knowing how she felt Wahu penned the song for him.

Speaking during an interview with Churchill Wahu emotionally shared

"I wrote my first song at age 16, it was for my brother who was unwell.

We were told he had a 50/50 chance of surviving.

I was like if I lost my brother he would never know how much I love him, so I wrote the song.

One day while coming from shagz David was driving so I decided to sing him the song and he loved it. It was awkward because we did not know how to say I love you.

He appreciated and I loved that he loved the song."

The brother survived and is one of Wahu's biggest fans.
