President Uhuru's niece Nana Gecaga  is a happy mum after her son, Udi, turned 8 years old.

The mother of 3 took to her Instagram page to celebrate the boys' birthday, posting a picture of him ready to blow the candles.

"8 years today and look at the amazing young man your turning into right before my eyes... Happy Birthday Udi May God continue to bless you and always know you are so loved," she wrote.

Recently, Nana Gecaga, who is also the CEO of KICC opened up on struggling with alcoholism.

The problem halted Nana's dream to become an athlete but she was able to seek help before it took a toll on her. 

“My first year at the university was very rocky, and that is where my everything fell apart. I was an addict of alcohol but I was able to go to rehab and from there. It’s been 19 years without drinking,” Uhuru's niece opened up.
