After a five-year break, veteran deejay Peter Chuani alias DJ Pinye is back for one more show.

It is a triple jam showdown christened the ‘DJ Jam of the Century’, one that pits Pinye against his fellow pioneer deejays DJ Nijo and DJ Adrian, the latter having turned 50 last month.

The triple-play taking place at Clique Lounge on Ngong’ Road – Nairobi - has attracted so much hype not just for the fact that it brings together the finest the industry ever knew on the spin, but more so out of the videos of the three now stirring social media – trailer clips that warn of an epic battle.

DJ Pinye pulls a bad boy look as he relaxes on a couch with two slay queens, each on the side. He is doing a rendition of 50 Cent’s 2009 In Da Club hit single.

Adrian pulls a club move as he pours fine whiskey in his glass before Nijo walks in looking ready for the slaying.

It is the first time the three are coming together for a concert, their last meet up having been during DJ Pinye’s 50th birthday party that was held in Nairobi last year.

Sources have it that the limited tickets for the show are almost sold out.

Credited for ushering Kenyan music on TV when he started hosting popular music show The Beat, DJ Pinye lost tune with a section of Kenyan musicians who claimed he was only promoting a clique of artists.

During a radio interview, he once said he could not play mediocre music. However, he later apologised to all he had hurt asking them to forgive him.
