Comedian Kartelo has been missing in action online because he was away taking care of his daddy duties.

His commitment is mostly informed by the fact that he was once a daddy for a few hours before his firstborn child died in hospital.

In a recent interview, Kartelo narrated about having his first child in high school.

"It is a sad story. I had a kid when I was in Form 4. A beautiful girl but she did not make it out of the hospital. She, unfortunately, passed away while in hospital," Kartelo said.

He added that at the time, he used to stay at his mother’s house but managed to cater for his pregnant girlfriend at the time. 

“At the time I was living in my parent’s house, I had made a girl pregnant but we managed to keep the pregnancy a secret for nine months and nobody knew about it. Even during the delivery day, we went to the hospital just me and her,” added the urban radio presenter.

However, he learned that his daughter did not make it.

“My girlfriend delivered well but the baby passed away after a few hours, it is something that made me feel bad because after putting in all the efforts despite being broke, the baby died. Since the incident I always believed I would get over it when I get another kid and when I welcomed my second child, I got over that pain,” the comic explained.
