Musician Akothee turned 40 in April this year, and this new age came with more wisdom for her.

The self-declared President of Single Moms has shared some nuggets of wisdom about life on the 4th floor.

Taking to her Instagram page, Akothee said that being 40 has changed her approach towards life, family, and romantic relations.

Akothee listed ways in which the new age has changed her;

1. Nowadays I don't get hurt broken, I get disappointed once I get there I go!

2. I have zero tolerance with people who don't have respect for themselves, that's why they think of disrespecting others. It's not you, it's them. Respect yourself enough to walk out of situationships/ relationships that may bring you, pain/embarrassments, and disappointments

3. I also Learnt to let go of Employees that felt entitled to having lived / work with me for long, and thought life would stop without them, off you go.

4. I have also Learnt to stay away from Toxic family members who only see rubbish in every good thing you do. And always finding words that could hurt you.

5. I have managed to control my energy like this, please allow me to run, if I don't I will fight back,& it will not end nicely. I will become the village enemy, which is not good.

6. If it won't make sense in 5 years, don't give it 5 minutes of your time.

At 40 years, the mother of 5 has established a friendly relationship with all her children, especially the three grown-up girls.

She hangs out with them and even buys them alcoholic drinks, unlike most parents.
