Awinja reveals that her dad worked for Nairobi city council

• She said that he was a cleaner and would go up to four months without being paid but still he managed to raise them.

Actress Awinja has revealed that her late dad worked for Nairobi City Council.

Celebrating her late dad, Awinja shared photos of her late dad holding her explaining how hard life was but her dad still managed to take them to school and also feed them.

She said that he was a cleaner and would go up to four months without being paid but still he managed to raise them. 

In the post, Awinja added that her dad loved alcohol but he was the most responsible father who treasured education and loved God.

"I don’t know how they managed with us, my Dad and Mum used to work for Kanjo (Nairobi City Council ) alikua cleaner pale na hizo ma days Walikua wanakaa ata 4 months hawajalipwa lakini tulikua tunakula na tunaenda shule.

Budangu alikua anapenda kamnyweso, siku kama ya leo haungemkosa pale Majengo kwa Busaa, but he was the most responsible Father i knew! Sahii angekua area, ningemjenga ma Tusker ainue mkono.

Alikua anapenda Masomo! Angeingia kwa Nyumba ata saa sita ya usiku kitu ya kwanza angeuliza ni “Wapi Fitapu”.

Alikua mtu wa Church mbaya! Every Sunday haungetukosa Sunday school pale Waudo Friends Church Carlifonia (Quakers) but Mara mingi tulikua tunahepa tunaenda SHINTA- RAM (if you know you know) Wahindi wametulea hii Nairobi."

She added;

"He loved upcountry and everytime tukifunga Shule,sisi hao Country Bus ndani ya Ugwe ama Eldoret express Ocha ndani!

Alikua mtu wa isikuti mbaya, Chama yao ilikua inaitwa Homeboyz Luhya Club.

But most of all he was and still is the most caring, loving Father to us. We do miss him alot,
