How far will Bahati go with clout chasing?

Retired gospel artist Bahati aka Mtoto wa Mama has transformed from gospel music to secular.

In his latest album, named Love like This  Bahati only featured one gospel song.

However, it is not Bahati's transformation from Gospel to Secular music that is controversial, but rather his actions within this period.

During its Album launch on Sunday, Bahati openly admitted that he has been clout chasing in order to get his name in the mouths of Kenyans.

He hoped to create attention from Kenyans by pulling not only controversial stunts but also ratchet ones.

‘’I have been doing it on purpose. The way the industry is set up, I would not afford not to create talkability around my name,‘’ he said.

However, there is a limit to everything.

He can attract the attention of Kenyans by the stunts, but, will it not come a time where fans stop taking him seriously?

Is he ready to keep pulling stunts for the rest of his music career?

One thing for sure is that fame and attention are addictive, and Bahati should be ready for a moment when Kenyans will be fed up with the stunts.

When this time comes, he must have strategized another way to get people to listen to his music.
