DJ Evolve's father John Orinda has expressed his disappointment on reports that his son is dead.

In a video released to the media, DJ Evolve's father said he was saddened to hear that people would wish death upon his son.

"Whatever I'm hearing is not right, it is not true. I was shocked to hear such reports. When we wake up every morning, the first thing is to check on our son, for now he is fairing on well.

Everyone should just pray for him, because you have said you love him, pray for him to heal. Right now, your prayers are working. He is able to sit on his own for about one hour, then he is put back to sleep. He can even seat on a chair for 8 hours. Lets just pray for him, he was in a bad state, but now he is doing well," said John Orinda.

The reports on Evolve's death emerged on social media platforms on Tuesday noon.

Immediately after the rumour went viral, a section of Kenyans started trading guns on Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.

DJ Evolve was shot by Babu Owino at Nairobi's B-Club in January 2020.

A year later, Evolve is yet to regain full mobility and embarked on his entertainment job.
