Benson Wanjau commonly known as Mzee Ojwang' has finally been laid to rest at the Lang'ata Cemetry where his remains were laid to rest. The father of comedy was eulogized by many as a true Icon and patriot who was denied his true dignity after he died in abject poverty after nurturing the local entertainment industry to where it is today.

His body was first taken to the Kenya National Theatre where he spent most of his time and later moved to the Nyayo National stadium where the funeral service was held.

After the service Mzee Ojwang's body was put to its final resting place at the Lang'ata cemetery as hundreds of actors and entertainers from across the divide bid him good. Also in attendance at the cemetery was Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko who has helped the family through the mourning process by catering for all expenses.
